About Me
Early struggle
I was very unhealthy for most of my life, I was drinking too much, I had bad eating habits, I was overweight, I suffered from chronic pain.
I became a vegetarian when I was 15 and vegan for animals welfare in 2010.
After my 30th birthday, I decided to make a change, I reduced my calorie intake and I started practicing yoga hoping it would help me with the pain and running to lose weigh, both were successful, but as my main focus was to look as thin as possible, I found myself in another unhealthy chapter of my life.
Turning point
At age 34,I had a ruptured brain aneurysm and brain haemorrhage. It was my wake up call!
Being sick was hard, the recovery was even harder but thanks to it, I turned my life around.
I decided to learn the right way to get healthy, and a few years later, I got my PT qualification.
Fitness journey begins
I started my fitness journey at 37. Yoga became part of my lifestyle and was a major contributor to my recovery, and the reason why I became a yoga teacher in 2020.
I shifted my focus from becoming thin to becoming strong and in the process I learnt there is so much more to fitness than just aesthetics, there is health, strength, resilience, and all of these can lead to acceptance, appreciation, and love for oneself.
Powerlifting
In 2022 I fell in love with powerlifting, determined to get as strong as I could, I embarked in this new journey (and yes, you can be strong and build muscles as vegan) and I love it so much that I added a Powerlifting Coach qualification to my professional portfolio and I am about to participate in my first competition.
Empowering others
I now strive to help women feel stronger, be healthier, more confident, find the love for themselves and understand that their look doesn't define their worth. I reject unsustainable diets and workout programs, rather I focus on long-term health and well-being, mentally and physically.
I specialize in empowering women through strength training while welcoming everyone. I provide professional, certified fitness programs designed to help you reach and maintain your health and fitness goals with exercises and nutritional advice.
